This powerful seed is frequently used in Yemen in roqya to treat witchcraft that has been eaten or swallowed. It should be used with extreme caution. It is a powerful purgative.

How to use moulouk seed?

- Peel the seed and chew it well before swallowing it with a large glass of water.

- Drink another large glass of water just after swallowing the seed to avoid throat irritation.
- Due to its toxicity, this seed causes severe nausea and diarrhoea in order to cleanse the stomach, so it should be used with great caution
- wash your hands after touching and peeling the seed
- drink one to two glasses of water between vomiting to avoid throat irritation and facilitate cleansing and vomiting.

Precautions for use:

Do not take the effects of this seed lightly.

-IT IS ESSENTIAL TO TAKE ONLY ONE SEED.

- If you need to repeat the dose, WAIT ONE TO TWO WEEKS BETWEEN EACH TAKE.

- Avoid fasting when taking this seed and drink plenty of water.

- do not take if you are ill or tired.

- do not give to children under the age of 12 or to pregnant or breast-feeding women.

- Avoid using this seed if you have to leave your home.

- Instead, use it on a day when you know you will be staying at home, preferably in the morning or late morning, as the unpleasant effects may last several hours (7-12 hours or more).

-If necessary, it is advisable to eat honey, bananas or rice to help the effects wear off, as they can be difficult to bear, especially after many hours.

- Despite its rather unpleasant effects, experience has shown that it is the most commonly used remedy in Yemen to cleanse the stomach of swallowed or eaten witchcraft.
