A word of warning

Not to be confused with sana makki leaves, these jujube leaves are extremely beneficial and can be used in a variety of ways, depending on your needs.

The jujube tree is an incredible tree that can be used for almost everything: its fruit, the jujube; its nectar, collected by bees and consumed in the form of honey; its leaves, which can be used in their original form or ground into powder for other uses. This tree is sacred to Muslims because it is mentioned in the Sunnah and is one of the sacred trees of paradise.

The leaves of the jujube tree are harvested by hand, then air-dried. Some are then ground into powder, while others are packed directly into sachets.

What are jujube leaves used for?

Jujube leaf is mostly used in powder form. You can also find it in the form of small pieces. They are often used in roqya to remove the evil eye or sihr (linked to witchcraft).

Guide to using jujube leaves:

  • Mix the sidr and water until you obtain a fairly sticky, homogenous paste.
  • Apply to wet hair and leave for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Please note that the mixture you prepare should be as liquid as shampoo, so don't use too much. -
  • Sidr contains saponin, so it has washing properties, so make sure you 'lather' and 'wash' your hair. -
  • Of course, don't expect it to lather like supermarket shampoo!

  • What's more, if any product remains, your hair will take longer to dry!
    Leave your hair to dry.
