Origin of habachiya

Our seed is harvested in Ethiopia, a country known for producing one of the highest quality Nigella Seeds. Known botanically as Nigella Sativa, it is also known by other names such as Black Cumin Seed, or in Arabic as Habbat As-Sawda or Habbat Al-Baraka. Its name 'Habachiya' comes from the Arabic translation of the term 'Ethiopian'.

Purity of black cumin oil

In order to achieve Grade A status and 99% purity certified by third-party organisations, our freshly harvested black cumin seed is first cleaned of impurities by two consecutive passes through professional sorting machines, and then purified and sorted by hand for several weeks to achieve near-perfect results.

The result is a Premium product with a Certified Purity of 99%, of exceptional quality, which becomes our sole raw material in the creation of our famous Nigella Oil.

Quality: 100% pure and natural, made exclusively from Grade A Ethiopian "Habachia" black cumin (Nigella Sativa) seeds, certified 99% Pure, First Cold Pressed without any chemical treatment, Cosmetic and Food Grade. This freshly pressed oil is not filtered so that it can remain as raw as possible, so it's not surprising to find the pulp of this exceptional seed in the bottles, so don't hesitate to shake the bottles before each use.

As a 100% Natural product that does not undergo any chemical alteration or colouring, it is not surprising that, from time to time, the oil's appearance, taste and colour may vary slightly over the course of the year, depending on the seed from which it is produced.

The quality of the oil is no less important, however, because all our Nigella oil comes from Ethiopian seeds certified to be between 98.99% and 99.2% pure.

It's rare to find a total of polyunsaturated fatty acids higher than 60%, and with an average result of between 61.1% and 62.7%, our Nigella oils contain one of the highest concentrations of Omega 6, whatever the crop from which they come throughout the year.
