Origin of habachiya

Our seed is harvested in Ethiopia, a country known for producing one of the highest quality Nigella Seeds. Known botanically as Nigella Sativa, it is also known by other names such as Black Cumin Seed, or in Arabic as Habbat As-Sawda or Habbat Al-Baraka. Its name"Habachiya" comes from the Arabic translation of the term "Ethiopian".

Purity of the seed

In order to achieve Grade A status and 99% purity certified by third-party organisations, our freshly harvested Nigella Seed is first cleaned of impurities by two consecutive passes through professional sorting machines, but is then purified and sorted by hand for several weeks to achieve near-perfect results.

This is done in order to obtain a Premium product with 99% Certified Purity, of exceptional quality, which becomes our sole raw material in the creation of our famous Nigella Oil.
